Susan,

I think you are touching on two areas. In IPC-6011 para. 4.3 allows either
boards or coupons to be used for inspection. You probably also found para
4.3.2.1 that defines what a lot is. Lastly in IPC-6012 para 4.2.1 defines c=0
Sampling plan which is a zero based plan. This plan calls for all boards in
the defined lot to be rejected should adefect be found in one of the samples.


Usinghte above, if allthe boards on given panel comprise the sampling lot
then by all means the entire lot may be rejected if using a zero based
sampling plan. I t is up to the customer to define the acceptable sampling
plan. Zero based is the default when a plan is not specified.
