Joe,
A Web Link a lot of times provides valuable resources and we
all have provided this info at one time or another. It is not a product
endorsement as much as it is a resource. In that context I have no
issues
with it (that being my own expressed opinion). While we
struggle to find the best solution please remember, be kind to each other.
If for no other reason it makes for less stress and more smiles.
You all are good folk's and while I may not a lot of the times
have much knowledge of your issues, I do learn from the info
provided.
Best Regards,
Randy

Hello Randy,
Your points are well taken (especially relaxing with a cold beer ;-) I
would like to add a few thoughts to yours.
It is agreed that the
intent of the forum is to discuss and disseminate information and potential
solutions to shared challenges and/or problems.
Often times as an
alternative to a lengthily discourse, and especially when the information is
already in print, it is common to provide links to a technical paper or even
directly into a supplier's website to the information of interest. This
practice has been quite frequent of late and seems not to have elicited any
concern.
While perhaps no one here much appreciates crass
commercialism, I believe all here are appreciative of solutions to their
problems.
The question is: Would forum members be offended if
potential solution providers (i.e. product or service venors) were to simply
place their weblinks up without extended comment relative to a particular
discussion topic? A solution is, after all, still a solution.
The thought is that no one wants to see the baby tossed out with the
bath water.
Kind regards,
Joe
