With due respect, it is apparent that your benchmark DPMO's are not compiled in compliance with the IPC-7912 standard. Your website publishes Monthly Average DPMO's in categories which are not consistent with this standard, including a category (Screen Printing) which was deliberately omitted from the standard by the development Task Group. This is true of the currently released version of IPC-7912 as well as the working draft of Revision A which the DPMO Task Group produced in May of this year. I applaud all efforts to compile this important benchmark data and I congratulate you on leaving the IPC effort in the dust. Nevertheless, while your definitions may be intuitive to your participants, they don't jibe with IPC-7912 (perhaps they're a closer match to IPC-9621 for process DPMO's). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8e To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt or (re-start) delivery of Technet send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet NOMAIL or (MAIL) To receive ONE mailing per day of all the posts: send e-mail to [log in to unmask]: SET Technet Digest Search the archives of previous posts at: http://listserv.ipc.org/archives Please visit IPC web site http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
