Us old timers who remember MIL-STD-454, Marshall,s A10509300 and miriods of other sketches and drawings in specifications can find the same or nearly the same drawing or sketch in the IPC documents. Just who is the "copy cat" here? If these sketches and drawings were public domain in Mil and Gov specs how can IPC prohibit Mr. Moonman from using them in his document? What am I missing here?

Folks,
I will refund all your money sent me for my book DFM/CE. However, I will
continue with the book using other than IPC graphics. Apparently it was ok
to publish free check lists with IPC graphics and references to IPC
guidelines - according to Jack Crawford. Unfortunatly for us all, I think,
the following message from IPC's own David Bergman will delay my books'
publication for a short time as I had planned on such action while thinking,
