Subject: [DC] Trace Width calculation

Hi All,

How do we estimate the trace width of a net based on its current carrying
capacity? Is there any thumb rule for it or any calculator. I know about
calculators which calculate the trace width depending on the layer stack up
for different layers and different configurations.

But, how do we estimate the trace width for a given net based on its current
carrying capacity? That is how to determine the trace width given its
current carrying capacity?

Thanks for all your responses in advance.
