Kevin, We perform this process on an as-needed basis and have found it to be very effective. It comes in handy to repair numerous skips or bridges caused from faulty machine settings. We've found no decrease in reliability, and have performed a great deal of testing to confirm this. That would, of course, depend upon your own assembly's component make-up and end application. Hope this helps, Leland Woodall Quality Coordinator Keihin Carolina System Technology, Inc. 4047 McNair Road Tarboro, NC 27886 Phone: (252) 641-6750, ext. 2865 -----Original Message----- From: Guy Ramsey [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Wednesday, August 21, 2002 5:08 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [TN] Re-Waving electronic assemblies We've done it, but if the cause of the problem was solderability then it probably will not help. If you are correcting a preheat problem or solder temp problem, it can help. -----Original Message----- From: TechNet [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Kevin Stokes Sent: Wednesday, August 21, 2002 4:12 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Re-Waving electronic assemblies Anyone out there have any information or input into the acceptability of putting an electronics assembly back through a wave process a second time as part of a rework process?
