Many of these conformal coating systems are 2 part, one being the neat resin , the other being the thinner (solvent). A substitution of the toluene thinner for a less offensive material (one the alcohol's or Oxsol 100) may be a solution. The coating manufacturer will likely distance themselves from this change since it deviates from their technical data sheet. The burden of qualifying the new process with the solvent change would then fall on you.
