That's definitely technical but someone talked about hollow glass fibers. This concept worked for plated wires as the glass was hollow and the process allowed insertion of one mil stainless plated wires for memory to replace ferites back in the early seventies. Anyone remember this momentus stuff. Have we come a long way or what.
