Hi,

I am Ronald G. Currell and I'm looking for information and statistics that
will support the Electronics Industry's contentions that High-temperature
Soldering is detrimental to solder joints in general and to the devices
into which they are installed in specific.

I have an article titled, "The Effects of High-Temperature Soldering on
Solder Joints," which I wrote for SMT Magazine, but for which I have no
supporting data to actually prove the points, which many academics in the
field seem to take for granted.

To review the article: http://smt.pennnet.com/Articles/Article_Display.cfm?

Do you have any information that will help -- or could you point me to
someone who might?

Thank you,
Ronald G. Currell

P.S. To submit articles for an up-coming book "The Engineer's Guide to
Soldering Practices in the Electronic Industry", write for an abstract to
