Being low volume, I would personally use a peelable mask, or some coating tape to mask off instead of a template. Once you throw in the cost of designing, manufacturing, and cleaning the templates after use it is cheaper to use the tape and mask for a low volume. We have used Humiseal's coating tape, and peelable mask for anything we handspray. We use aluminum foil in our spray booth, and replace it after use.
