Right on Kathy, Raw data is BS. Data turned into useful information, graphically or otherwise, can be used successfully for improvement. The definition of productivity suits the presenter. However, the best people working at maximum efficiency and effictiveness if my best liked. The government uses this to their data's advantage as fewere workers are employed but the same amount of work gets done but maybe not meeting customer requirements and, most certainly, judged by more work. In a declining economy, less work is available. Therefore, fewer workers are needed. There's so much more but it all comes down to the governmental types telling us ignorant folks the economy is recovering when many of my/your friends don't swallow that as they are not working.
