Hi Mark!

Jump scoring is a method in which the score is done for individual boards in the panel, but does not continue all the way out to the edge of the panel. What this does is to make the panel strong enough to not fall apart during the assembly process, but yet still have a score deep enough along the individual boards so as to separate easily.
