hi, this reminds me of old saw which goes something like: if you put a teaspoon of dreck in a barrel of fine wine, you'll end up with a barrel of dreck. on the other hand if you put a teaspoon of fine wine in a barrel of dreck, you won't end up with a barrel of fine wine. phil -----Original Message----- From: [log in to unmask] [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2002 4:15 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [TN] You'll just ruin a lot of nice new paste. It's like having hot water, and cold water that used to be hot - mix the two and you get warm water. The cold one is hotter than it was (rejuvinated a bit, if you like, but not completely) while the hot water is much cooler (rapidly aged). I am somewhat new to the buisness, and my co-workers have been giving me info about solder paste, but there seems to be some questions about solder paste use We use Kester R562 solder paste. One of the things they are telling me is mixing new solder paste with old solder paste will rejuvinate the old paste. Is this true, or will it just ruin the new paste.
