Hi Earl! One method of "removing" rust which hasn't been mentioned is electrochemical reduction. It is expensive, time consuming and probably wouldn't make sense for your application but it is one of the more common methods used in marine artifact restoration. A good use example is the restoration of the Hunley submarine. Well, time for a Coke (or I could swipe one of Doug's Dews).
