I am attempting to assemble an adhesive matrix. Started doing this about two months ago but didn't get too far as so many compromisises apparent as in one of Octobers' threads indicated. I started by using LocTite's Gif image at the bottom of their electronic adhesive's page. This includes types as thermally conductive, electrically conductive, phase change types, conformal coatings, etc. As with all designs, so many compromises are faced. RF folks must have their "skin effect" requirements met over 2 Ghz, manufacturing needs solderability and/or attachment requirements met, cost issues met, quality and realibility requirements met, etc. It just goes on even beyond many MLB designs and applications having similar matrices. Does anyone have a matrix covering issues about which I'm talking? Does anyone know of a site with which to start? Wolfgang, if you're reading this, it was not me who posted the blow hole message though it sounds interesting. I'm a cut it open and look person.
