Their web page is http://huggroup.org/ I have seen a spec from Teledyne Halco (manufacturer of HASL machines) giving process guidelines that was pretty good. I imagine you can find a link to Halco from the HUG site. You can pretty much spec whatever you like (and your supplier agrees they can meet) on your fab drawings. I'd be sure to spec both a max and min thickness, and also define HOW thickness will be measured, as that leads to another whole area of confusion.
