Peter I don't think that I would use the word "irreversible", rather "mighty difficult". I fear there is zero compatibility between polymers containg silicon atoms in their chains and those with only carbon. This would mean ensuring that all traces of silicones must be eliminated before filling it with acrylics, remembering that silicones would be everywhere, including adhering to surfaces. Also you do not wish to a PCB being sprayed to even touch any such surface. The SAFE way would be replacement. The CHEAP way, without any guarantee, would be remove all traces of silicones from EVERYWHERE - and just how would you do that? I don't know, for a start.
