Your questions are not idiotic. 1. Bag only. 2. As for OUR part number, that varies greatly from one vendor/distributor to another. Some put it on the bag and reel, some just on bag, some not at all. Frankly, we do not get many reels in dry packs. Most of the moisture sensitive components we use are in trays or in tubes in which case only the bag would have our part number if at all. We are not a high volume shop. The PO number is usually just on the packing slip. Just what battle is it you are fighting? If all you folks who work in board assembly could give me a few quick yes or no answers, I would be quite grateful. Any of my fellow component manufacturers' comments are also welcome. Just 2 multiple choice questions... Regarding Moisture Sensitive components that are shipped to you in dry-pack bags.... 1. Is the moisture sensitivity-related labeling info (MSL, Bag Seal Date, Floor Life) found on... a) Moisture Barrier Bag only? b) Unit container (reel, tube, etc...) only? c) Both bag and reel? 2. Is the component/customer specific labeling info (Customer part number, PO number, etc...) found on... a) Moisture Barrier Bag only? b) Unit container (reel, tube, etc...) only? c) Both bag and reel? Thanks in advance for any answers you might have.
