Hi Mark! What, you don't like when the parts vibrate off of the end of the track, and they wind-up in a little pile at the end of the feeder? Man...some people are so picky...hehehe (just teasing!) I know what you mean about vibratory feeders... There's a company called Comtra Systems that makes what they call belt feeders, that are just wonderful. They're in Minnesota and their phone number is 651-633-4084. They don't have a web page unfortunately... The feeders aren't dependant on the machine. They just need power. There's a an IR sensor on the feeder that detects when the pick and place nozzle comes down and removes a part from the pick-up point on the feeder, this in turn indexes the belt to present the part one at a time, they are really good feeders for tubed parts. -Steve Gregory- > Fellow Technetters, > > I am looking for suggestions how to present "stick" parts to my pick and > place machines.
