There's stuff out there, but it can be pricey. One such system is shown at:

Rotatable mirrors, lenses, ect. so that you can view 360-degrees around a
part, indexable X/Y tables so that you only inspect an area once...that is,
you can take a break and come back to the exact same spot that you were at
before you left on break, as well as providing a systematic way to inspect
the whole assembly. But as Peter said these systems aren't cheap...

Had them at a previous employer, I think they're pretty good...if you can
afford them.

I'm looking for a moveable/articulating jig to hold a PWB during visual
inspection with a microscope.  The issue is the board's weight over 9 -
10hr
shift wearing down the inspector(s).  Dunno if this is would be a
counterbalanced arm/swivel ... curious to see if anyone has any thoughts or
similar experiences.
