There's stuff out there, but it can be pricey. One such system is shown at: http://www.visioneng.com/stereo/vs8_pcb_inspection.htm Rotatable mirrors, lenses, ect. so that you can view 360-degrees around a part, indexable X/Y tables so that you only inspect an area once...that is, you can take a break and come back to the exact same spot that you were at before you left on break, as well as providing a systematic way to inspect the whole assembly. But as Peter said these systems aren't cheap...
