Hi Julien! From my past experience with sending trainers to get certification I found it to be well worth the money, if you have the full support of management. You will need to start from the top and work your way down. Many employees don't like change and when you start making changes to improve quality it slows the process for a while until the new and improved habits are well developed. Therefore you have production managers against quality managers unless you have every thing is in concrete. >>> [log in to unmask] 06/11/01 10:42AM >>> Hi everybody, We start to build in the compagny a more structure programs of training for every employe on the production floor. The first part of this programs will target the touch-up and the rework. We want to have a program that include books, exercice, exams, certification. We facing two choice : developp the program inhouse, based on the IPC-7721 and IPC-7711 and our experience or send someone to a course of Registred Instructor IPC-7711-7721 and this way get a program that is already build. Our main concern is does the document and the training we reveive in a course of Instructor worth the money we pay for it. Does we can use as it to start our training programs or does we will have to adapt it ? How good are the book for the operator and the exams ?. We would greatly appreciate feedback from people who follow this kind of training. Julien Bouchard ing. stag.
