Hi Technet, Deeply hidden in the Technet-archives are some very original ideas that can help making our work easier. Two nice examples that I remember: 1. If you design your pcb-panel in such a way that top and bottomside of the panel are identical, you can assemble a doublesided board with only one stencil and only one pick&place program. (posted 14 june 2000) 2. If you don't have an X-ray machine and you need to inspect a BGA, go see your dentist! (see archives 4 february 2000) I would like to add a section "pcb assembly tips& tricks" to my webpage at http://www.smtinfo.net, with ideas like the above examples, because I think such great (public domain) ideas should be more accesable than they are now. But I do need your input, as two ideas don't make a good webpage. So if there are any good and original ideas that you remember from old Technet-postings (or other sources), please let me know. If you would like to share some ideas that were not published before, that's even better. Please post your suggestions to this Forum.
