A question from a colleague of mine. Subject: Water soluble flux rinse water. What is the minimum water cleanliness level of the final rinse for assembled/soldered PCB? *That depends a great deal on what you are cleaning and how clean do you want to get the substrate? I have found that the best cleaning comes from deionized water. I generally consider RO water to be 100 kilohm-cm up to about 1 megohm-cm and DI water to be above 1 megohm-cm.
