Hi Rick! Here's a few of links to look at. The first one is: Substance data sheet for occupational exposure to lead - 1910.1025 App A http://www.osha-slc.gov/OshStd_data/1910_1025_APP_A.html The next one is: OSHA Regulations (Standards - 29 CFR) - Part 1910 Occupational Safety & Health Standards http://www.alwaysonthejob.com/regulations/osha/1910/ This is the overall regulation for safety in the workplace. Basically, it has mandatory things in it that you must comply with, and a suggested means to conduct a hazard assessment of your workplace. Bottomline, is it is reasonable to forsee an employee getting burned from solder, then as an employer you are to make sure people wear the proper clothing... The last one is very, very important! Go to: http://www.beledy.net/phoenix/osha.htm -Steve Gregory- > Off the technical path a bit, are there OSHA requirements during the > hand/wave soldering processes that require employees to wear long pants and > not shorts or dresses? Also, some typical guidelines out there you folks > use. > Thanks, > Rick Howieson > http://www.deltagroupinc.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8d To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt delivery of Technet send the following message: SET Technet NOMAIL Search previous postings at: www.ipc.org > On-Line Resources & Databases > E-mail Archives Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
