I would like to get a feel for the total volume of electronics manufactured worldwide in terms of area or weight, as opposed to value. I have found (via a web search) figures of 35-42billion USD for the total bare PCB market in 2000 and a total value for the electronic equipment market of 1200billion USD, but can find nothing on what this represents in physical terms. Can anyone help?
