Jerry, It's done all the time and in very high volumes. Check out motherboards in places like Fry's. But the finished hole size is critical and possibly slightly different for various application methods and inks. Best to check with your board supplier for design rules before proceeding. Also, quick turn shops might not have the same design rules. It's always easier to make 10 of something for 20X the price then to make a million of the same part. Go with the high volume design rules and the quick turn shop will also be OK.
