We also bought one to use for showing assembly or production errors (PWB/PWA/EMAssy)and provide them to our suppliers as feedback. We have found the old axiom "A picture is worth a thousand words" to work quite well, especially for $99!! Has it's limitations, but for the money does a surprisingly nice job. At 200x you can use the photo's to illustrate microsection reports, although you couldn't do an analysis on the image itself. We find it of great (and economical) assistance for illustrative purposes. It is a good value, but it's limited in resolution, and I wouldn't recommend it if high-quality images are needed. It's also limited to 10x, 60x and 200x magnification.
