presented as part of IPC Printed Circuits EXPO
held in Anaheim, California
April 1-5. The MP&M Free Forum will be held on
Tuesday, April 3rd
from 10 am to 12 noon and is free to all who

EPA has estimated that 7 PWB Facilities
that will be forced to close under
proposed EPA Effluent Guidelines for Metal
Products and Machinery (MP&M).
An additional 301 facilities are expected
to have difficulty financing
compliance investments or on-going business
investments as a result of the
rule. EPA has estimated the total
annualized cost (in 1996 dollars) of the
recently proposed effluent
guidelines for PWB facilities to be $147.1
million for the PWB industry or
slightly over a quarter million
per-facility. For more information
