In IPC-SM-782 there is a figure 3-8 which can get you started, and accompanying text in 3.6.1 I just noticed what looks like an error in paragraph two of 3.6.1.1 it says: "The land to land spacing between adjacent components should be 1.25mm [50mils] clear space all around the edges of printed boards..." So are we talking about the space between comps or the space around the board edge? didn't mean to get off the subject. You might also find something in IPC-SM-780 but I don't have that one. good luck, Jack -----Original Message----- From: Ahmed El-Sanhoury [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2001 2:45 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [DC] Component Clearance for surface mount All i am looking for a documentation on Component clearance requirements for automatic component insertion on surface mount technology, can any body help me?,thanks in advance.
