Hello Kamalesh, If you are with TRW in San Diego or Marshall, IL, you are using a Smart Sonic Ultrasonic Stencil Cleaner and 440-R SMT Detergent for cleaning stencils. This same system and chemistry may be used for cleaning misprinted PCBs. Orient the paste side of the PCB downward so the solder paste can fall freely away from the PCB and not contaminate side "A". Because there are no sprays or recirculating water, the chance of contaminating the populated side with solder balls is very small. Gravity works with you. Spray systems should not be used because the sprays will broadcast the solder balls throughout the cleaning chamber and contaminate the populated side. There is an article by Richard Clouthier on the Smart Sonic Web Site that describes using spray cleaners for cleaning misprinted PCBs as a "Solder Ball Nightmare." www.smartsonic.com Regards, Bill Schreiber --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8d To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt delivery of Technet send the following message: SET Technet NOMAIL Search previous postings at: www.ipc.org > On-Line Resources & Databases > E-mail Archives Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
