Phil Phil Generally speaking, the only components that cannot be water washed are LCD displays. However, relays and other wound components must be selected as water-washable. Open ones are out, just as much as they would be with organic solvents. Al-elcons should be sealed types, ditto PS caps. No problems with most thermal compounds. You may have a problem if your closed loop is just DI: this will not remove the surfactants and other organics, just the ionics. As these accumulate, expect foaming and deposits on the boards.
