hi, yes, it is. phil -----Original Message----- From: Ken Patel [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2001 5:26 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Is it acceptable trace rework? Guys, Initially, we had a trace cut and then we decided that we don't need that trace cut. So on few boards, our CM told us that they can fix the trace by putting a small trace across the cut out and soldered the ends. Also, put some kind of solder masking on top of that soldered traces. Is it acceptable? Any comments from experience folks. Or should I go for real jumper wire. re, ken patel --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8d To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt delivery of Technet send the following message: SET Technet NOMAIL Search previous postings at: www.ipc.org > On-Line Resources & Databases > E-mail Archives Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8d To unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the BODY (NOT the subject field): SIGNOFF Technet To temporarily halt delivery of Technet send the following message: SET Technet NOMAIL Search previous postings at: www.ipc.org > On-Line Resources & Databases > E-mail Archives Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information, or contact Keach Sasamori at [log in to unmask] or 847-509-9700 ext.5315 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
