IPC-7912 Calculation of DPMO & Manufacturing Indices for Printed Board Assemblies Appendix A has a list of defect codes based on J-STD-001C and IPC-A-610C. This document is for end-item DPMO computation and only addresses defects. IPC-9261 is still in development stage and will be intended for use in determining DPMO during the assembly process. The associated defect list with 9261 isn't firm yet because it's still a draft document, but may be a bit broader than 7912s. Paste printing defects, for example, may want to be considered when doing printingDPMO, but those defects may not be evident at end item. Hope this helps.
