David Whalley, I got out of vapor phase right when Ozone Depleting Chemicals (ODC's) were being phased out. However, I had investigated using the 3M vapor phase chemistries which were "environmentally friendly". From what I've heard, these chemistries were found to be acceptable but I have no first hand knowledge on their performance. I do know that these fluids were very expensive. You can get information on these chemistries from their website: http://products.mmm.com/us/electronics_mfg/products/electronics_mfg.jhtml?po wurl=GSG4V7W2HBbeGSFVD9HJ6SgeGST1T4S9TCgvGSV6G71PB3gl. Here is another vendor which manufacture vapor phase soldering fluids, for comparison sake: Ausimont: http://www.ausimont.it/docs/gald_vapor.html Good Luck and Happy Holidays.
