Cara, I expect you are generally going to get a wall of silence from the actual semi people (please prove me wrong!), as a lot of this stuff will be seen as "competitive advantage", although I maintain that enviro stuff should be as public domain as the owners can bear. That being said, why don't you try some of the following: Genum in Burlington, Tundra Semiconductors in Ottawa, the semicon program at the community college in the Niagara peninsula (sorry, I can't remember the college name) Nortel Networks in Ottawa and Dr. Martine Simard-Normandin Manager, Materials and Device Analysis Centre for Microanalysis ST Microelectronics (Canada) Inc. 185 Corkstown Road Nepean, ON, Canada K2H 8V4 Martine's lab was part of Nortel Networks until recently. She should be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck! regards, Bev Christian 905-334-2993 -----Original Message----- From: Cara Startek [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2000 1:23 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [TN] Semiconductor Information Hello all! I am back on to this list after a about 3 months of NO TECH TALK!! For those who remember I was working in Production Engineering at Leitch in Toronto. I'm now back at school doing some research in a related area - Semiconductors. My research includes wet etch process control and material reclamation. Is anyone else on this list working/researching this industry? Does anyone have any information on similar studies that have been done? I have seen a few papers from manufacturing facilities in Japan but nothing that I could visit... Unless anyone wants to assist me financially... ;) Does anyone know if there are any lists such as this that deal specifically with semiconductor manufacturing?
