Steve, from what I've seen, when you consider set up time, changing boards, inspecting, 8 seconds does not seem to be overly conservative. Lou Hart ---------- From: Stephen R. I'm trying to come with a good "guestimate" of how many components per hour an operator should be able to stuff in a board using a Contact CS400. Contact says their machine has a cycle rate of 1500 per hour (for 3" table moves). I know it's going to be component and board dependant, how aggressive the operator is, etc.. I do however think that 1500 components an hour is a "little" outside realm of most humans. I'm thinking maybe 5-8 seconds per component depending on what it is...does that sound reasonable? -Steve Gregory- ############################################################## TechNet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ############################################################## To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TECHNET <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TECHNET ############################################################## Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information.
