Hi TechNetters !! I am facing a typical problem. Our boards have 80~90 smt components on them and all are on one side. Balance of PTH components are on both the sides so after reflow, we use manual soldering. I am looking forward to do manual component insertion and soldering from component side to save time. My question is - Is it the right way to solder the component from comp side? How do we ensure proper filling of PTH and proper joint at solder side? We are using no-cleaned cored solder wire from Kester. Presently we are using additional flux but I want to eliminate it. Looking forward to your answer. Thank you in anticipation.
