Barry Gallegos,

Check out a McMaster Carr catalog. The "Air Pucks" are called Air Bearing
Movers (air sleds). I've used them in a previous life. They are very good in
moving heavy equipment. But there are a few caveats that you should be aware
of.
  1. You will need a constant air supply while moving the equipment from one
location to another.

  2. The floor must be reasonable smooth. If the floor is not smooth, it is
possible that the height of the air cushion needed to raise the equipment
will not be constant and you will get stuck (Trust me. It happened to me
while moving some very large test equipment though a hallway. We go stuck at
an expansion joint.).

  3. You still would have to get the equipment on the air sled. This means
lifting it onto the air sled. You should contact your mil-rights (please
forgive my spelling) about this. You may also need several units, depending
upon the size and weight of the hardware to be moved.

  4. While 1 person can move the hardware, I recommend that a team perform
this operation. Once you get the hardware on the sled, once in motion, it
could be very hard to stop because of the lack of friction between the
hardware and the ground. Remember, you are moving rather expensive equipment
on a cushion of air which could measure anywhere up to 2 inches.
Good Luck.

      Good mourning TechNet.

I have been tasked with finding a way to move my Pick and Place
machines, ovens and Wave solder machines around our manufacturing facility
floor.

I have heard that there is something called an Air Puck that will
allow a single person to move a large object with just his one itty-bitty
little finger. If this is true, where can I find them?
