Douglas,

This began with a customer identifying dendritic growth on a board group we sent them.
In evaluating possible causes of course we pursued our process including cleanliness,
currently we are doing this as a cleanliness evaluation.

We have decided to begin performing this test method, among others, as another means of
process control; however, all information I have seen thus far states exactly what
you've stated, the longer time lapsed before failure, the cleaner the board.

My question I suppose, how long will it take for an exceptionally clean board to fail?

Thanks,

Franklin
