IPC has expressed the intent to produce slides as well as the CD but be aware that there are significant illustration changes. These could be new illustrations and even some that appear to be the same but have minor changes. We went after the book with a fine tooth comb! So I guess I just need to buy the new training materials? I understand that Rev C instructor materials will be on CD, will there be a way to upgrade my existing Rev B slide set to either add/remove the appropriate slides or some trade-in on the CD? Any ideas? Therefore, your certification is good until it's expiration (18 months) whether Rev. C training is out or not. However, those who were certified on IPC-A-610 Revision B will receive certification for two years beginning at the point that they re-certify to Revision C. Certification will also be two years for new Class A Instructor candidates trained on the Revision C of the IPC-A-610. Current expiration dates are still in effect, except for those granted an extension by IPC. In other words, the two-year certification period is not retroactive. This period applies to both the Worker Proficiency and Class A Instructor training. Training materials for Revision C will be available for any certified Class A instructor by June so you don't need to take another course to "recertify to revision C".
