Is there an industry standard documenting polarity markings on components or circuit boards? We have found that different component manufacturers will mark either the positive or the negative lead as polarity for the same part style. LEDs in particular are bad for this. Our current standard states that the polarity marking on the part, regardless of disposition, must match the polarity mark on the circuit board art work. We have just started using a part with two different polarity marks on it (opposing). Our system does not work for this part. Can anyone recommend a standard? ############################################################## TechNet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ############################################################## To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TECHNET <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TECHNET ############################################################## Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information.
