Sam, A two step drilling reduces drill wander. It is also called 'Pilot Hole' or 'Peck' drilling meyhod where you have just a peck by a smaller drill then followed by the required drill size. The idea is to create a punch mark for drill to start. In peck drill you may use the same drill, but drill the hole with increasing feed. First step is just a peck on the surface to be drilled, back and then advance again. It will help reduce drill wander. ----- Original Message ----- From: sam mccorkel <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Monday, March 06, 2000 10:27 AM Subject: [TN] Drill wander > Hi Technetters, > > Is there one particular "style" of drill bit that reduces drill wander more > so than others?
