Marvin If the resist is over copper and is cured/ dry, we have reasonable success in measuring thickness with the electronic 'eddy current' devices. We use the 'Elcometer' range, but I am sure there are others..... If the resist is wet, you can use a 'wheel' or comb, which are specifically designed & calibrated show the ink thickness. There are X-ray techniques to measure dry resist thickness, but I don't know how much they cost. Hope some of this helps. While I am busy performing my evaluation for the detection & identification of contamination on metal surface, I have another question. Is there any other method of measuring thickness of liquid resist on a surface aside from break test or scraping? Please help. Thanks in advance.
