Steve That is what I thought until I discovered that some manufacturers (NEC, Panasonic) actually make a B size Tant (4.7mm long). To confuse matters further AVX list their capacitors as being case B but they are 3.5mm long therefore they really are B2 ! Also IPC-SM-782 land pattern only covers B2 (3528) ? Anyway that's enough time thinking about capacitors.
