Mike,

I tried to respond to your query last week but the Technet keeps on
rejecting my postings - I have unsubscribed and resubscribed and
hopefully this will do the trick.

You ask how to convert Fuji CP4-3 plastic embossed tape style feeders to
paper style feeders. As far as I am aware the only difference is that
the paper tape feeders do not have the groove machined out on the
aluminium body where the tape passes over (as the paper tape is flat).
To convert the plastic style to the paper style all you need to do is
fit an insert into the groove, but before you do this you could just try
running the paper tape in the plastic feeder and checking your yield and
wastage figures to see if you can get away without modifying your
feeders.

As far as sources for 'gently used' feeders go, make extra sure that you
are getting the right feeder for your machine, and that they are
compattible with your existing feeders - there seem to be quite a few
variants of Fuji feeders around.

Regards,

Chris Murphy,
