If Steve's suggestion doesn't work check to see if it is mouse mating season. They get a little weird during that time. Ron D. -----Original Message----- From: Stephen R. Don't think that there's any hacker stuff out there yet that will screw with your mouse (but then again I don't want to underestimate the creativity of these guys). More likley, you may need to stoop to the level to clean your mouse balls (and rollers)...hehehe. I'm saying that (knowing that it sounds perverted), but is true. When was the last time that anybody has cleaned their mouse balls? When the ball picks up junk, and the rollers inside get junked-up that are transmiting the movement of the ball in your mouse, things will get weird....and it can be where on one axis movement things are funny, and the other axis it's okay. That usually tells me that the mouse needs a good bath. I clean my mouse ball in alcohol and then take a q-tip and clean the rollers inside the mouse (making sure that I clean the whole roller circumference)....usually after that, my mouse is dead-on...balls that are cared for work better...(get your mind outta the gutter!!!) -Steve Gregory- ############################################################## TechNet Mail List provided as a free service by IPC using LISTSERV 1.8c ############################################################## To subscribe/unsubscribe, send a message to [log in to unmask] with following text in the body: To subscribe: SUBSCRIBE TECHNET <your full name> To unsubscribe: SIGNOFF TECHNET ############################################################## Please visit IPC web site (http://www.ipc.org/html/forum.htm) for additional information.
