We are building products with 0402 and <.010". Accordingly we have been looking at the Vision Engineering "Lynx" scope. It is great in my opinion, clear and functional for viewing. I need to know if there are any other "heads up" type microscopes, and if there are, who? Can someone help with the cost justification for the scopes? Any ideas or examples of studies? Any help would be appreciated! You may respond to me directly also. Carl Barnes Quality Analyst http:[log in to unmask] >> Hi Carl! If you want to take a look at a very unique inspection system, go to: http://www.ersa.de/ersaenglisch/ersascope/index.html There's a couple of *.PDF documents there that will show you all the capabilities of this system, including an article by Phil Zarrow. I will say that this system is on the pricey side, but there isn't anything else on the market that can do what this system does...the thing can look beneath BGA's!
