Hi,
The best reference I have found for all around electroplating information is
"Electroplating Engineering Handbook" Edited by Lawrence J. Durney, ISBN
0-442-22002-2. Much of what it covers is practical knowledge you probably
already know from experience.
A more detailed reference is "Electrodeposition The Materials Science of
Coatings and Substrates" by Jack W. Dini, ISBN: 0-8155-1320-8. This has
sections on Adhesion, Diffusion, Properties, Structure, Additives, Porosity,
Stress, Corrosion, and Wear.
