Hi All -

The requirements of J-STD-001 are quite clear and specific, in this case.
If the document were burdened with all of the logic surrounding its
requirements, then it would become a jumbled mass of "stuff", and for the
most part unusable. I think we've all seen specifications and standards in
the past that tried to cover all things in the Nth detail, and generally
failed in their primary purpose.

So far as the issues of personal hygiene are concerned, Rick is correct on
the HAZMAT training and signs posted throughout the facility reminding
folks, but it goes back even further than that. My personal hygiene
training started some 60+ years ago, in conjunction with potty training.
This was reiterated innumerable times throughout various classes in the
education system, technical training and certification courses, etc., ad
nauseum. It really becomes an issue of ones responsibility to himself to
"wash hands before eating/drinking/smoking" and should be something that we
don't have to hire "hand wash police" for. If an adult can't remember to
wash their hands, then I pity them, but can't accept responsibility for
their personal actions. I've certainly paid plenty of taxes to ensure that
they had the opportunity to be educated in this area, on the off chance that
their parents neglected this duty.

Well, so much for the soap box today!! Y'ALL HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR AND BE
SAFE!!

Regards - Kelly
